My Step By Step Design Process

The client experience is extremely important to us which is why we pride ourselves on having a stress-free client experience - it is also what we get compliments on the most! To give you a sneak peek, here's our process for our custom design projects.

Proposal + Project Questionnaire

After completing the application form on our website, you will receive a customized proposal providing everything you need to know. We like to provide as much information as possible so you are comfortable with us and the process. You will also receive an invitation for a free no-obligation consultation call. This allows us to meet you virtually and answer any questions you may have. We love meeting new clients and learning about the vision they have for their businesses.

If you are ready to get started with the project, you can then submit the proposal which will prompt the sending out of the contract & invoice - to make a payment & secure your spot on the calendar. Your start date will depend on our availability & when you're ready (we typically book out 1-3 months). Having time before we start allows you to gather all the information needed for your course/website, take pictures or finalize your branding.

Welcome Packet

Once you have made your payment & secured your spot on our calendar a Client Welcome Packet will be sent along with access to the Client Portal and a quick project questionnaire (allowing us to get to know you even better). We then talk about your vision for the project, the products/services you offer, and your competitors.

Once you have completed your project questionnaire you will be granted access to your Project Dashboard (in CMH & Co.'s Virtual Home Office). This is a great way for us to actively communicate via chat, check the status of your project, and stay organized. We do not provide photography, this must be provided by you, however, we do offer copywriting & stock images as an add-on to our design packages. If you already have a copywriter and images, you can provide files to us with your completed project questionnaire.

Design Process

On the start date we agreed upon, the design process begins. This can take anywhere from 2-10 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design & the package you selected. We don't typically provide mock-ups as we thrive in the platform when creating and determining what works best for the overall design.

On my end, now that I have everything that you have sent over, I begin creating a rough mockup of the design, which I don't usually share because it evolves over time as I begin working inside the platform.

There is nothing more that you need to do on your end but put your legs up and wait until you receive an email from me stating that your design is ready for review.

Proof for Review

Once you are notified that the design is ready for review, there will be a link inside the email to a Proof for Review (which is also available in your Client Portal). Inside the file, you will receive a link/screenshot of the design as well as a video from me walking you through the design. My clients love receiving videos from me because it allows us to be very in our communication and explanation of the goals for the design.

Clients will go through 1-3 revisions before they are happy with their design. Our goal is to provide exactly what you are looking for and more so collaboration during the revision process is significantly important.

Launch Time!

Now that revisions have been made and you have signed off on the final design I provide a tutorial video of how to make simple changes and updates to your site so you can manage it yourself. However, we do provide maintenance services because we understand as a business owner there are other areas in your business that requires your attention.
